THE NEED

To predict the dynamic response of fluid when subjected to varied wind, structural, thermal and mechanical loads on the turbine structure. In other words, to calculate the structural integrity, lift and drag felt on the blades, and the angle of attack on the turbine blades

SOLUTION PROVIDED

Involving Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) analysis, our team did the transient analysis of the multiphase fluid flow through the turbine structure with over 10 different configurations. We used industry-leading simulation software and calculated the wind pressure and wall shear along with thermal loading. All those data are accurately mapped to various components of the structure to validate the structural integrity of the component and found the maximum twisting deformation of the blade under peak loading.

AS A RESULT,

We provided comprehensive simulation reports with accurate validation to understand the limits of the turbine structure and recommended appropriate materials and specifications for manufacturing.
