THE NEED

To analyze the robustness and performance and validate the design of Ride Vehicle suspension system used in entertainment industry.

SOLUTION PROVIDED

The analysis and design modification were carried out under several operating conditions such as braking, turning and bumping conditions. Each component of the system was analyzed in terms of strength and optimal performance. From the initial analysis results, topology optimization was carried out to reduce the overall weight of the system. Most of the components during concept and design development process weighed more than required which resulted on the extra weight of the component and loading which substantially increased the cost and with help of topology and parameterized optimization analysis Quadrant’s team were able to reduce overall weight of the components.

AS A RESULT,

We effectively cut down the excess and unwanted material that doesn’t interfere in the load path without compromising the structural integrity or safety of the component. The optimized components were analyzed again under the same loading conditions to validate the design and stress levels as per the required standards.
