THE NEED
The aim of this project is to design splint using composite materials which can be effectively manufactured using 3D printer. Patients suffer extreme pain with an immobilized arm, with the help of effective design split and lightweight material the splint effective reduces the patients pain and help in movement.


SOLUTION PROVIDED
The Quadrant team has brought out the collaboration of effective designing of stint with additive manufacturing technology of 3D printing. This method of design and manufacturing helps to minimize the total cost of the product as well as total weight. Quadrant team has efficiently designed and analyzed the components using orthotropic and composite material properties. With an accurate analysis of the system it greatly reduced the total weight of the component.
AS A RESULT,
This method of design and manufacturing helps to minimize the total cost of the product as well as total weight. The design of the splints ensured reduction of the joint contractures, skin abrasions and erythema, as well reduction in the pinch points that occurs while wearing these components.
